I've (finally) added more to my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/LyptentJones
I still have some other photos that I need to take. I have a Rainbow Dash and a Big Mac that need pictures and I've got a Princess Cadence in progress that needs to be finished.
But yeah, check out my shop, I could really use some money right now as I'm not getting as many hours in at work and art school is expensive.

Thinking on School

I'm currently an Entertainment Design major at Cogswell, concept art. As most of you know, I like to make creatures. I have 15-16 classes left to take, about 2 more years, and I'll graduate in 2015.
But yesterday, my storyboarding teacher got me thinking after we turned in a final version of an animatic (fav.me/d5z78nu). He said that my motions were great, and he really like a lot of things that I did with it.
Jeff, my teacher, asked if I had taken Drawing for Animation yet, I said that I had taken Flash Animation at De Anza with Dave Perry, and it transfers over. He asked if I was an animation student and I said that I was entertainment design, I don't like Maya very much, or really any 3D programs. He seemed a bit disappointed, and said something along the lines that companies usually hire one person that can do a lot of things rather than one person that specializes in one thing.
I knew that was true, but it really got me thinking yesterday and today. Maybe I should change majors to Animation. I asked my mom and she said that I should try taking Drawing for Animation. They aren't offering it in the summer, but there is a 10:15-12:30 class in the fall.
I really love doodling characters and creating monsters, but after what he said... there's likely more jobs as an animator than there are for concept artists. An animator will keep on the job longer too, be a bit more involved with everything.
I think I'm going to have to go in and talk to my councilor, Reid, and maybe talk to Dave too and see what they would suggest. It's not too late to change majors.
